- Are my PDF files uploaded anywhere?
- No. The merging happens in your browser using JavaScript, so the file contents never travel over the network. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads — the tool still works, because everything runs locally.
- How do I change the order of the files?
- Each file in the list has up and down arrows. The number beside each file shows where it will appear in the merged document, so arrange them until the order is right, then merge.
- Is there a limit on file size or number of files?
- You can merge up to 20 files totalling 100 MB in one go. That limit exists because everything runs in your browser's memory — very large jobs would slow your device down rather than a server.
- Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
- Files with an owner password can usually be merged, but files that need a password to open cannot — the contents are encrypted and unreadable until unlocked. Remove the password first, then merge.
