Editing a PDF here means adding your own text to a page and covering anything you want to replace. Open a document, click where you want to type, and use the cover tool to hide the old value first — that's how you change a date, a name, or an amount. It works on every PDF, including scans, because the edits are drawn onto the page rather than substituted into the original text. Nothing is uploaded: the whole thing runs in your browser.

How to use it

1. Open your PDF — it renders instantly, and stays on your device.
2. Every page appears as a thumbnail. Click one to work on it, or use its ✕ to drop it from the document.
3. To replace something, drag the cover tool over it, then switch to Add text and type the new value on top.
4. Save, and download the edited PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change text that is already in the PDF?

Yes. Switch to Edit text and click any highlighted line — it becomes editable, and when you save, the original is covered in its own background colour and your new text is redrawn at the same position and size in a matching font. Pages with no extractable text, such as scans, offer no highlights; use Add text and Cover on those instead.

Can I remove pages I do not want?

Yes. Every page of the document is shown as a thumbnail above the editor, so you can see what you are dropping rather than guessing from a page number. Click ✕ on a tile to mark it for removal and ↩ to bring it back; the pages you kept are the ones written to the saved file, and any edits you made on a dropped page go with it.

Can I use this to redact confidential information?

No — and this matters. Covering text hides it visually but the original characters remain inside the file, so anyone can still select, copy, or extract them. Never use a cover box to hide account numbers, medical details, or anything confidential in a document you intend to share. True redaction requires removing the underlying content, which this tool does not do.

Are my documents uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is opened, rendered, and saved entirely inside your browser, so the contents never travel over the network. That matters most for exactly the documents people edit — contracts, forms, and anything with personal details on it.

Can I sign a document with this?

You can type your name in a signature-style position and place it precisely where it's needed, which is accepted for many routine documents. Drawn and uploaded signature images are on the roadmap. For legally binding e-signatures with an audit trail, use a dedicated e-sign service.

Does this work on scanned PDFs?

Yes, and it's one of the strengths of this approach. A scan is just an image, so there is no text to edit — but you can still cover parts of it and type on top, which is exactly what filling in a scanned form requires.
