Splitting a PDF cuts one document into two. Enter a selection like 1-3, 7 and those pages become the first PDF, while every page you did not list becomes the second — nothing is thrown away unless you ask for it. It is the fastest way to separate an invoice from a statement, or hand over one chapter while keeping the rest. Everything happens in your browser; the document is never uploaded.
How to use it

Frequently asked questions
- Do I get one file or two?
- Two by default: the pages you listed, and everything left over. They download together as a zip because a browser can only hand back one file at a time. Switch the output option to keep just the pages you picked, and a single PDF comes back instead.
- How do I write the page range?
- Use single pages, ranges, or a mix, separated by commas: 1-3, 7 puts four pages in the first file. Leaving a range open-ended, like 5-, takes everything from that page to the end. Page numbers start at 1, matching what you see in your reader.
- Can I reorder pages while extracting?
- Yes. The first file follows the order you list, so entering 3, 1, 2 produces those pages in that sequence. A page listed twice is only included once. The leftover pages always stay in their original document order.
- Does splitting reduce the file size?
- Usually yes for each half, because the pages that went the other way and any images only they used are left behind. Shared resources such as embedded fonts are carried over, so a two-page extract from a large document is not always tiny.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. The PDF is opened and rewritten entirely inside your browser, so its contents never travel over the network. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool still works.
