A discount calculator shows the final price after a percentage off, and exactly how much you save. Enter the original price and the discount percentage — the sale price and the saving appear instantly. Both figures are worth reading: the percentage is what the sign shouts, but the amount saved is what stays in your account, and 40% off something small is worth less than 10% off something large. The tool takes any discount from 0 to 100 per cent, so it answers what you will pay rather than what you should charge. Everything runs on your device.

How do I calculate a discount price?
Multiply the price by the discount percentage to find the saving, then subtract it. ₹1,999 at 30% off is ₹1,999 × 30% = ₹599.70 saved, leaving ₹1,399.30. The calculator does both steps as you type.
How much is 30% off?
30% off means you pay 70% of the price. On ₹1,999 that's ₹1,999 × 0.70 = ₹1,399.30, a saving of ₹599.70.
How do I stack two discounts?
They multiply, they do not add. A 30% discount followed by a further 20% is 0.70 × 0.80 = 0.56, so you pay 56% of the price and the real discount is 44% — a good deal less than the 50% the two numbers suggest. On ₹1,999 that is ₹1,119.44 rather than ₹999.50. The order makes no difference: 20% and then 30% lands on exactly the same figure. To work it out here, apply the first discount, then feed the result back in as the original price.
How do I find the original price before discount?
Divide the sale price by (100 − discount) and multiply by 100. A ₹1,399.30 price after 30% off was ₹1,399.30 × 100 ÷ 70 = ₹1,999 originally.
Is 'buy 2 get 1 free' the same as a discount?
It is 33.33% off, not 50%. You walk out with three items having paid for two, so the price per item is two-thirds of the sticker price. 'Buy 1 get 1 free' really is 50% off, but only if you wanted two in the first place — otherwise you have paid full price and acquired a spare. The honest test for any multi-buy is to divide what you hand over by the number of items you leave with, then compare that against the ordinary unit price.
Is a percentage off always better than a flat amount off?
It depends entirely on the price, and the crossover is easy to find. ₹500 off beats 20% off on anything below ₹2,500 and loses above it, because a percentage grows with the bill while a flat amount does not. Divide the flat amount by the percentage written as a decimal — 500 ÷ 0.20 = 2,500 — and you have the price at which the two offers are identical. Below it take the cash, above it take the percentage.
What does 'up to 70% off' actually mean?
That something in the sale carries 70% off, and nothing more than that. It is a claim about the maximum rather than the typical: a single item at 70% makes the sign true even if everything else is at 10%. The only number worth acting on is the one attached to the item you want, which is what this calculator is for — and it is worth checking the original price against what the thing cost before the sale rather than against the figure printed beside the discount.
